How do I change the password of the built in admin account in AD Manager?
I am trying to change password to a more secured password as we have begun to use AD manager for user creation, but I do not see a way to reset the password of the admin account in AD Manager
AD Import for Office 365 SMTP ProxyAddresses Attribute
Dear Support I am trying to import new users into Active Directory. However, I need to set the proxyAddresses to SMTP: user@domain.com. I have put the attribute but it doesn't get imported into the system. We have AD and Office 365 no exchange server but I can see the attributes on the users Attributes tab. Customize completed user creation page?
Is it possible to customize the username and password data/output (on screen or sent via email) confirming that a new user has been created? So for instance we have a help desk software and help desk group that needs to send the username and password for the new user that they just created and send the password and/or user details automatically instead of them having to copy and paste this information manually from the ADManager Plus website? I would like to be able for my Help Desk Users to be able to change offices, email address, title, department and manager when creating an AD account using AD manager, but so far the only way that I can enable them to do this is by giving them super admin rights, and that gives them more ability than I want them to have. Built-In admin account counts as technician license?
I don't understand if I can not delete or even edit the built-in admin account then why is it counting against my technicians license? I don't want anyone to ever use built in admin account.
Group Object reporting issue
I'm currently working with manage engine support on an issue with my instance of AD Manager after a service pack change was made last year. The issue is whenever we attempt to run a group object report it seems to hang like it doesn't finish. The vendor informed me that this is because the product has been modified to perform a domain sync with all group objects in the domain after generating the group report. Because we have 14,000 objects in our domain it hangs up the group object report for 30-40

O365 management error "Please select at least one license"
Hello, ADManager Build 6500 I'm not sure how to use the O365 Management feature. I have an O365 account setup in ADManager, and it accepts/tests fine. I also have the Azure AD Windows Powershell module installed on the server. When I go into AD Mgmt > Office 365 Management > Assign / Remove Licenses, I see the 3,700 users in O365 and their licenses. Getting '80072030' error when attempting to create new security groups
Hello, I am trying to add/create new security groups in Active Directory, and when I attempt to do so, I receive the following error against each record: Error In Creating Group,There is no such object on the server. - Error Code : 80072030 I have gone into Domain Settings/Actions/Update Domain Details, and selected both OU and Groups to refresh. I then get a "Refresh request is being processed, the data will be updated in a few moments." message. How can I tell if/when this process has completed?
Account Creation - home drive label?
If I specify a home drive path in ADUC it doesn't display the full server path to the user's mapped home drive when the visit the Computer folder. However if I have this created through ADManager, it appears to make visible the whole path (like \\server01\profiles$\username). Is there any way to make it map the home drive (like to the H: drive letter) to their path at \\server01\profiles$\%username% but not show the full server name in the mapping? I think the only way around this in the meantime

The goal is, when the user is changing his/her manager field from ADSelfservice Plus, there's an email alert sent automatically to the selected manager stating "this person's just change his/her manager to your name" is this possible. thanks in advance. Can't view ADM in browser after moving to new server
I've followed the instructions on moving my installation of ADManager Plus (latest version) to a new server. It is working as normal on that server, but I can't connect from a browser on my local network outside of that server. I've also installed the ADMP service and verified that it's running. Any ideas as to why I can't view it?

Question about requestor role to add user to a group.
How do I setup a requester role to add a user to a group without actually giving the requester access to the group? For example Our ADManager users have the ability to add users from their offices to different groups under their respective OUs. Now I want the ADManager user to also be able to submit a request to have themselves or others added to the "domain admins" group. User Concurrent Login Restriction
I am looking to limit users on the number of concurrent logins allowed in an AD environment but it is not supported natively through Windows. Is there a means of limiting this through ADManager? What about Desktop Central? Thanks, Brian
Syncing Titles, Departments, Office and Companies
Is it possible to stop AD from syncing things like Titles and Departments to AD Manager? It appears that when someone edits something in AD like a title or department it then adds that title/department to ADManager Plus. So we have to then continue to clean up the Titles and Departments in AD Manager. Users are picking incorrect or misspelled items when creating a user in ADManger. So we were wondering if the sync can be only one way, from ADManager Pluss to AD.
Help desk Unlocking users
Good morning! Whenever my help desk techs unlock a user the audit report shows that the account was unlocked by the service account that admanage is using to authenticate to the domain. How can I change this so that it shows the actual tech that unlocked the account? Thanks MC

Why do reports output groups with a space after each
Hi, When we export a report and say, we're looking at the groups someone is in, it provides a list in the CSV but each one has a space after it. This is a slight annoyance as when importing this into Excel you have to remove the space for each. Is this by design ? It's only after the 1st group item, which means you normally get Domain Users,_Group1,_Group2,_Group3 etc.(Where _ represents a space). Any advice or reason for this ? I'd prefer no space myself :-) A
Is there a trigger in the CSV file for Adding or remove Group Memberships
I would like to automate a task to automatically update group memberships. Adding users to groups works fine. Is there a trigger in the csv file that would tell ADManger plus to remove the group instead of add. Is it possible to have both add and remove in the same csv file? Thanks, Ryan Dearman.
Why does updating using a CSV file only show 100 rows?
I am updating multiple users with multiple groups. In my CSV file I have headers for sAMAccountName and memberOf. There are 211 lines in the spreadsheet being updated, but when I run the import this only shows 100 lines. Is this maxing out at 100 or is it updating all of the users? Hi there, I was testing ADManager Plus on a trial basis. I added a custom attribute called "Last Logon Time" using the LDAP attribute "lastLogon" for User reports. I could then select this attribute in the "Password Never Expires Users" Report under Password Reports. Now that I have purchased ADManager Plus, it won't let me create the attribute in my new installation of ADManager Plus. It says the attribute is already in use however I cannot select this attribute in the "Password Never Expires

How to ensure that Logon name and logon name pre windows 2000 are the same.
Hi there, I have set up my new user template to have logon name pre windows 2000 set to 'same as logon name' however if the logon name pre windows 2000 already exists then I will get a different logon name pre windows 2000 from logon name. We have a requirement for these to be the same all the time. Is there a way to ensure that if one is already in use that they look for a formatting of both the names to be the same? Issue with disabling Exchange mailboxes
I am testing the process of disabling user accounts and have a Disable/Delete policy defined such that when an account is disabled, it is supposed to disable the Exchange email account. It appears to be deleting it all together as I am not seeing it in the Disconnected Mailboxes section of the Exchange console. The mailbox does disappear, but does not seem to be disconnected.
