Reports Scheduler - User or Global?
Hi There, I'm fairly new to ADManager Plus - We have a small team who'll administer the reporting in AD Reporting and the build in Scheduler What I'm seeing currently is that the AD Reporting Scheduler is specific to each user, meaning we're unable to modify or administer or even check the status of an AD report someone else has created in the scheduler. - I've checked the permissions in AD Delegation and I cant see an option to allow Super Admins access to all the schedulers, and I cant see an
Added 'Detailed Group Members' to the Create Schedule wizard
It would be great if the 'Detailed Group Members' report was a part of the Create Schedule wizard when selecting Group Reports. Not having it available in this wizard causes issues when I or another user that creates a Detailed Group Members report we are unable to see and modify these reports when changes are necessary. Should one of the people that created these reports leaves then no one would have access to the reports except possibly the default admin account which we do not like to use because
User Creation - How do I setup a template to create a mail account in a hybrid environment?
Hello, We currently have a hybrid Exchange environment with Exchange 2013 linked to Office 365. We have been creating our mail accounts on-premises and then migrating them to the Office 365 environment as this maintains the link between the on-prem AD object and the cloud account. We recently solved an issue where our AD Manager Plus was not connecting to Office 365 and I would now like to be able to build into our user creation templates the creation of the Exchange account and Office 365 licensing,
AD Pictures
Hi there. We would like to use AD Manager to possibly show an employee directory with pictures so we can print it out (for the executive assistants). If I create a report in AD Reports I can add a custom attribute thumbnailPhoto but it only shows 1/0/- as the result. Is there a way to show the image in the report? I would rather not introduce another software to show an employee directory. Thanks,
Email password when password has been reset
Hi All we have a set of users that are external users. When our helpdesk resets a users password is there a way to email it to the users email address. We did this for newly created users - (see https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/email-password-to-newly-created-user ) but would like to do it when our helpdesk resets the users password too if possible.
ActiveSync enabled users in Office365
It would be real helpful to have a Office365 report that shows who has ActiveSync enabled. We only enable users that have Mobile devices and MDM through Office365 Apps. Having a report that will run against Iffice365 users would be really helpful
Changes made to a request after te request was added
Hi, I am trialing this product and have found something think could be improved. Once a requestor requests a user, it goes to a reviewer to review, and either approve or reject. Lets say, as a reviewer, I decide some information is incorrect, I am able to correct the information in the request, approve it, which then moves it to the point where a technician will submit the changes. This is all good functionality, however, for accountability, auditability it would be good if any changes were recorded
Exporting not working
I am running some AD reports, and I haven't gotten any report to export successfully. It just opens a new blank tab in the browser and spins. I have also tried in console mode. I am trying this product out to see if it would work for our organization, and the reporting is the main feature I am looking at it for. Any ideas?

You can easily delegate specific permissions to specific AD users, as per your organizational requirements. For example, user creation permissions can be granted to to your HR while user deletion permissions can be delegated to an IT technician. The procedure followed in delegating permissions via ADManager Plus is: Create a help desk role with the required permissions. Add a help desk technician and map the role onto the technician. Automation tasks from Admin not showing
Not sure if this is by design but Automation Tasks that were created by the Admin user do NOT show up in the Automation Tasks of other users who have the Super Admin role. The weird thing is that the Scheduled reports created by the Admin user show up in the Scheduled reports section of other users. Basically we want to make sure no one is creating scheduled tasks that are doing the same thing.

Exchange issues in User Creation Template - 6.5.8
Technician is receiving "Alert Message - 'Mail Alias' is a mandatory field. You can't leave it empty." The field and tab is silently active in the template and has a naming scheme specified. Creating the user myself, the user gets created with the following errors: Error Code 80072030 : Error in setting attributes, There is no such object on the server. Additional drop down list for user management

ADManager server using a lot of disk space
Hi, The disk space usage for our ADManager server has increased over the years. Currently the folder size for ADManager plus stands at 30GB. I have see high usage in the below list of folders located at C:\ManageEngine\ADManager Plus\. Backup 2.7GB logs 2.5GB mysql 16.5GB Patch 3.5GB temp 1.7GB Four of these 5 folders seem that could use some cleanup. However, the mysql folder, though carrying the database, but would 16.5GB size make sense for an ADManager instance? Can any maintenance jobs be run

Hi All I have an external auditor who stated that AD Manager can generate a list of OU object’s right list, which will allow us to identify the privileged group from the permission level. They stated that the following columns need to be included: TargetObject AccountName AccessControlType Rights The reason for this report is we need to identify privileged users based on their group assignments. Use ADManager to sync users from external Active Directory into Active Directory managed by AD Manager
Hi I'd like to use AD Manager to import and have a scheduled sync of user accounts from an external Active Directory via AD Manager to the Active Directory managed by AD Manager. Is this possible. It would only be basic information. It's mainly to sync displayName and SIP URI AD attributes only (the rest would be filled via an AD Manger template). thanks

Unable to delete the User.Access is denied. - Error Code : 80070005 Our Account logged into AD manger is Domain Admin, The account I'm trying to delete is in a Different sub domain, This domain is conencted with its own service account into Admanager. Cheers

What I'd like is for our users to hit a web page, type in the info, select some applications that this user will need, then the request gets submitted and if approved would create the account and make them group members of different groups based off the application they selected. Pass the newly created user account to the Custom Powershell scripts
Hello, I've created a Powershell script that run only on successful user creation. I need to pass the newly created username to this script in the command line using a variable. Is there a way I can pass the newly created user account values to my Powershell script? I've tried %USERNAME% but that it's not working. My script works perfectly when it's executed outside of ADManager but not when it's run by ADManager. I guess it's because I'm not using the right variable. Thanks
User based login to different domain controllers
Can ADManager plus point to different DC based on the end user? In larger orgs, it takes time to replicate the changes, causing delays. A computer moved from one OU to another can take up to 20 minutes because it is being done at another site and must replicate.
Greater scheduling options for succsessive tasks
Hi We have a requirement to schedule the enabling\disabling of around 120 accounts on a regular basis. The accounts are put into various sized groups and are currently manipulated manaully. The accounts are used for student exams so it is important that they are enabled\disabled at the appropriate time. ie. Delete Account Custom Script - Username not passed to script?
As part of our account deletion, I configured a custom script to run against the username (under Admin->Delete/Disable Policy). However, the command isn't being passed the username or department when I use the %username% and %department% variables (they work for all other custom scripts I've implemented with ADManager). Is this functionality not available when an account is deleted? Or is there something I'm missing? Custom script I'm running: powershell c:\AcctScripts\RemoveFDrive.ps1 -Username

Hello. I am getting this error while trying start the ManageEngine ADManager Plus service on my Windows 10 machine: "The ManageEngine ADManager Plus service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs." How do I fix this?
ADManager Plus reports cannot be show under "Scheduled List"
HI, Please be informed that we encounter a problem is that we checked our "Scheduled List" and it will said "No existing Schedules". As we checked, we still can received the schedule report via email and we check "Scheduler History" and the report status is normal. May I know how to get back the report in "Scheduled List"? Thanks

Hello, We have just purchased Ad Manager and we are about to install the software. We already have Ad Audit Plus installed on a dedicate machine, a windows Server. We were wondering if we could install Ad Manager on the same server, because it seems to me both products are modules of the same software solution.
