I've been asked to create an account for our Auditor's that allows them to use Manage Engine to Read user and group information but without the ability to modify it. What is the best way to do this in ADManager Plus?

How we can change the length of the field department in ADMP?
Our AD schema has been changed and the field length of the department is 128 characters. But the ADMP does not allow to save the name of such length. Can this behavior be changed?

SamAccount field for Shared Mailboxes Creations
It looks like the Shared Mailbox Creation template by default pulls information from what is put initially in the Display Name field in the template. This probably shouldn't be setup like this since for us we tend to put spaces for our mailbox Display Name. This in turn conflicts with the smtp and alias fields as it attempts to auto populate them from what's entered from the Display Name field. Those fields don't allow spaces in exchange. AD reports for Group Membership ...can we add attribute EmployeeID to the group members report?as its not seeing in the report right now. And also we are trying too add an attribute Call Work2 which is actually an Outlook attribute .Could we add the attribute? Limiting results in Employee Search
Unfortunately, we have several service accounts that are mixed in with our user accounts for GPO reasons. Is it possible to configure the AD Search to ignore results where a field is null? All employees have their employee ID in the correct field in Active Directory. We would like to limit search results to only accounts that have data in that field.
Do you allow ADManager Plus from the outside world?
Hi All.... I'm curious how many of you allow ADManager Plus to be reachable from the outside world? With the new 2FA authentication added to ADManager Plus, I've been giving it more thought to make it easier for me and my other tech's to get to it. AD Manage custom roles, technicians, and template folder location
Good Morning, What folder does ADManager Plus store the configurations for technicians, roles, and user creation templates? We had to reinstall the newest version and restore the database with ManageEngine, and the configurations are not showing. The tech thought that they were stored in the DB, but it appears not, and I know that I had to restore the folders before. I don't want to test this, as our prior install is a different version. Hello People! Is there an easiest and quickest way to add multiple AD groups to one user? Because what i am doing now is: 1- AD MGMT tab 2- User Management 3- Group Attributes 4- Add to Group ---> Then i have to choose every group that the user needs by copying pasting... 5- Finaly i put the users in the Enter name(s) to search field. Can't Start As Service After Fresh Install

Error on Import to AD
Hi When I do a bulk import from a CSV file to Active Directory I get the following error: Successfully Updated the UserSetting Values for Custom Attributes : Error In Setting Attributes, The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist - Error Code : 8007200a I have checked all of the fields and I am sure they match up. Furthermore it would appear all of the imported information is correctly populated. Does anybody know why this might happen? Gary

Hi, Has anyone found a workable solution whereby permissions in AD can be provided but are taken away or reminds you after a defined period ? We have some groups that we grant for a month\3months and 6 months but obviously need something to remind us to remove or re-enable the group.. Any ideas ? A

Hi there, we are using the template system to create users. During the User Creation you select Department from the list. In our Organisation each Department has a cost centre code, we put this code in the DepartmentNumber field. How could admanager auto population the Dept Number field, depending on which department is selected from the template for the Department Field.

Greetings! I've recently updated AD Manager Plus to the latest version with the Notification Profile option. However we don't use the Manager attribute in our Active Directory. Instead I've tried to include email address to which the account information is supposed to sent in the CSV-file linked to the automation task, and take that email address as a parameter to a powershell script. However I haven't succeeded in this task as the email address doesn't seem to import to the automation / user creation

ADManager ports between Win10 client and ADManager service through a firewall
Hi We are currently evaluating ADManager and have the service setup in the cloud behind a firewall using HTTP 8080 and / or HTTPS 8443 We've opened the ports up on the firewall so that clients on premise can access the ADManager portal - http://server:8080 or https://server:8443 (I change the connection settings in Admin/Connection page depending whether I'm trying to access securely or non securely. ADManager: Cannot Connect To Exchange Server
Whenever I try to create a mailbox for an existing user, I receive the message "Cannot Connect to Exchange Server" when applying to operation on the user account. Is there a problem with a configuration or installation of ADManager. Does the exchange console need to be installed on the server?
