SQL Versions supported
Hi, We are getting close to a purchase of AD Manager Plus and wanted to confirm whether SQL 2014 is supported. I can see some information about SQL in the user/setup manual but not the exact supported versions. Can anyone confirm?
ADManager Plus Build 7010 ( June 2019 )
ADManager Plus Build 7010 ( June 2019 ) New Features: Active Directory backup and recovery: Incremental or full backup of Active Directory objects. Granular or complete restoration of AD objects. Increase in the number of AD users that can be created by
Needing to get back built in technician accounts
One of our other IT techs accidentally deleted a few of the built in technician accounts from ADManager Plus and I was just seeing if there is a way to get those back or just create other accounts that just are local to the application. The one in particular we need is the built in HR Associate account as we have a few HR reps that will need to create users. Thanks!
AD Manager Plus not launching on Terminal Server
We are running both AD Password Self Service Plus and AD Manager Plus on the same terminal server but recently the Java Wrapper Service will launch at startup on this server for AD Password Self Service plus fine but for AD Manager Plus the java wrapper service doesn't start automatically and when you try to launch it manually it will try to start the service and then goes to "Initializing Service" and then just dies. And Event Viewer doesn't display any warning error messages. The only way to get
run custom script - create 365 account in another domain
Hi, I create a user in AD and then I want to create a 365 account in a domain that is not the same as the AD. For this I configure in the script the connection with administrator username and password 365. If I execute it from the machine by hand it does it well, but once I include it in the ADManager I get the following error: Result:ConvertTo-SecureString : Key not valid for use in specified state. At C:\ManageEngine\ADManager Plus\bin\usernewcomer365.ps1:5 char:17 + $SecureString = ConvertTo-SecureString

Java Heap Change Resets
Hi, When I change the value of Java Heap Max in Wrapper.conf it reverts back to the previous setting, what am I doing wrong? Thanks
Custom script for disabled users forwarding
I am looking at utilizing the features in the delete / disable policy, everything I need is there or can have a script written for it except one thing, basically when users leave and there account is disabled, there mailbox is left forwarded to someone else for a period of a few months. I could easily do this as a custom script, however every user will be forwarded to somebody different, so would be handy to have a prompt to enter an email address to forward to when disabling a user. Does anyone
Allow two-factor "remember me" setting
While I applaud ME's inclusion of two-factor authentication in ADmanager, it doesn't seem to have been implemented with any forethought with regards to usability. If you have a session timeout of 15-20 minutes, you're basically forced to 2-factor auth back into ADmanager 12-20 times per typical work day. Also, what happens if a technician forgets his/her phone at home? There is no temporary "exception" process. Please implement a "remember me on this computer" setting that allows us to define how
Send Notification on Disable User
Is it possible to configure a notification profile when an account is disabled through ADManager?
Unable to edit custom attribute in user creation template
I have created custom attribute for Employee Number field and linked it to user creation template. The field is visible by the technician but its greyed out and not in editable mode. Can someone help me out how to fix this issue?
Help desk roles "AD Report" checkbox is unchecked after update to 7.0.1
Hi After update ADManager to last version 7.0.1 Build 7010 I found that the checkbox "AD Reports" (in "AD Delegation" / "Help Desk Roles") is unchecked for all helpdesk roles, but all reports sub-item checkboxes remain checked as they were. If I enable checkbox "AD Reports" for helpdesk role, my settings is resetting and all reports sub-item checkboxes becomes checked.
Automate generation of CSV file from SQL table\view or other DB
I don't know whether this would be useful to anybody else but I thought I'd throw it out there. I'm finding that i'm creating more and more SQL views\tables to manage various aspects of AD objects. Some can be handled directly using SQL integrations\automation's i.e user creation, modify attributes whereas others have to be manipulated using csv's. My personal panacea would be to use SQL integration for all automation's\tasks (probably much easier to say than implement) and not have to create scripts
error when requesting to create user by template
Hi, When the "requestor" makes a user registration request by template, the alert message appears: This design does not have a user creation method. This template creates a user in AD and in 365, if I uncheck the 365 tab, let me continue. However, in another template that I have the same but for another domain, it does not give me any warning message and it does it well. What can be eto? Attached screen of the message Regards,
Does ADmanager SMTP support STARTTLS?
Our Exchange environment uses TLS over SMTP by passing STARTTLS after the SMTP connection is made. Does ADmanager support this?
Copy DistinguishedName value to an ExtensionAttribute and move user
Hello everyone, I'm trying to make a user modification template to save the current distinguishedName value to an ExtensionAttribute and then move that user to another OU using a modification rule. My problems are 2: First, the extensionAttribute remains empty after user modification, I am currently passing the variable %distinguishedName% to it in the template. Second, I set the modification rule to modify the "Select Container" value to the new OU location (with no conditions) but the user won't
Notification of account creation in specific location (country)
Hi, we're moving to a flat OU structure for win 10 and the current account creation notifications, created when a Win 7 account is made in the current Office specific OU will no longer work. I've looked at changing it but the only selectable fields in profile criteria are Action, Container, Technician and Domain Name. My unique identifier for the location of accounts will soon be Office as it's shown in AD. any ideas how I can get different people notified of new accounts in their office? David

Hi, I have a problem, when I run custom ps1 script in user creation template. I have two domains, to create users, in domain A I failed until we put a user with permissions on the ADManager server service, but that user is from domain A. Now that I create a user in domain B I do not run the script, how can I fix it? Regards,
Is it possible to automate Contact Creation from a New Account?
Hi folks, I have a Create User template set up for our on-site IT folks to run for certain user requests. These user accounts do not get an Exchange Mailbox, so no email is created for them. However, they do need to have a contact created for them. Is it possible to automate the contact creation based on the data entered in the User Account and can that process be automatically triggered by the User Creation task? If so, how do I go about starting this process? Thanks, Adam
Templates
Hi, I might be being stupid here but I can't find where to create templates in ADManager (for use in automation, etc). Can anybody advise?
simple powershell script to clean a field
Hi, As much as I check and have checked in the community I do not find where I fail, I execute a powershell script once I have created a user to clean a field.and it does not do anything to me. AdManager Plus Build 7000
I am trying to move this build from one server to another. I ran the backupDB.bat on the old server and I try running restoreDB.bat <filename> on the new server and it tells me to use the -p flag and then asks for a password. What password does it want? Why is the backupDB.bat encrypting the backup? it shows up as an .ezip. Thanks for any help!
Filtering, cloning, or editing default reports
I want to filter the "users never logged on" default report so that it only shows me enabled user accounts. I can't find a way to filter the results, so I looked for a way of editing the report settings - I couldn't find that either. I then tried to create a custom report, but this requires that the 'last logon date' is specified in relation to an existing date - I couldn't find a way of specifying 'never'. I then tried to see if I could clone the existing default report but couldn't see a way
Password age report
Hi, The domain I've inherited doesn't currently have a password age requirement set. Before I implement one, I'd like to be able to have an example of why it's necessary - is it possible to get a report out of ADMP that will show how old the current passwords are? Many thanks!

Custom Script shows success after user creation but doesn't work
I have tried contacting support by email, phone and chat with no response. Perhaps one of you can assist me. We are in a Office 365 hybrid deployment, with AD on-premise and email in Exchange Online. Up until now we have left everything as it was in ADMP before we migrated email to Office 365. We simply migrate new accounts from on-prem after creation. Finally have time to testusing ADMP to create the email in Office 365. It is working fine. However, ADMP doesn't allow us to tailor the licensing.
Powershell script after user creation
Hello, I sent an email to support@admanagerplus.com but still have yet to hear back so I wanted to submit my question here in hopes of getting assistance. We currently use a template to create new user accounts, that has been working perfectly. What I want to have accomplished after the creation now is to have a Powershell script create two folders beneath the home folder, we currently can't do that as constituted with ADManager. The two folders are Desktop and Documents, we redirect the user desktops

We upgraded to 6659 yesterday, ever since then we have not been able to create O365 users (we are DirSync enabled). SQL 2016 native client prompt
We are performing an install of the ADmanager 6.6 application. We have a database for it on a SQL 2016 cluster. When I run the ChangeDB.bat config batchfile and put in the SQL server and Instance, I get the message You are trying to configure SQL Server version 2005 or above; please install SQL Native Client and try again. Thing is, I have tried installing the SQL 2012 Native Client (which appears to be the last one that was officially released by Microsoft, and I've tried the SQL 2014 native client

can i run an Automation task for the whole input file?
Hi, I've setup a user de-provisioning process based on a file that our HR dept send us. The automation policy currently reads the file in and runs each step for each user, i would like to be able to create a list of all users in the file and email it to someone. I can write a PowerShell script to do what i want but want it to only run once rather than multiple times. Is this possible in AD Manager Plus? thanks

Workday ADM Integration
We are trying to set up the integration between Workday and ADManager however we are unable to get ADManager to successfully test the connection. Has anyone been able to get this to work and if so were there any special permissions you need from either the ADM or Workday side to get this to work? This is what ADManager support sent me in terms of the setup: Steps to configure Workday in ADManager Plus: Logon to ADManager Plus. Go to Admin -> Integrations -> Workday. In Account Details section, enter
