Good day Everyone I would like to gather some advice form the more experienced Opmanager users on this forum, We currently have Whats Up Gold 16. I am looking at moving it over to OpManager for several reasons. My problem i have is that we have Custom Active Monitors on Whats Up configured to Telnet to a server and execute a script on that server to determine if the service is up or down. Now its not a complicted script it merely contains the following: Send=Monitor, Expect=ACK, That's it. I have
Opmanager - error shutting down
I am running Opmanager 11.3 on a Windows 7 system. When I run the program "ShutDownOpManager" and enter in my username and password, I get the an Error in shut down ".\conf\Ports.properties (the system cannot find the file specified". The Ports.properties file does exist in the /conf directory. Any ideas? I can't install the Netflow plug in until I can shutdown Opmanager. Thank you

Hi, Is there any in built module or a way to monitor freebsd server's disk health. we use smartctl os cmd to find faulty disk in freebsd. So is there a way to monitor disk health in freebsd server and whenever disk becoemes failure we got alert in opmanager.
snmp traps from EMC Vmax
Hi Guys, I am trying to configure the snmp traps from the EMC VMAX storage. Just wanted to know if the device is supported by opmanager? Currently no luck and could not query the management server which runs the storevntd which generates the traps.
OPManager - Automatic Unmanage shutdown VMs and re-enable monitoring when powered back
Hi OPManager Dev Team! Would it be possible to implement something like an automatic un-manage function within the VMware monitoring? We get quite some alerts everyday from OPmanager for VM's that have been shutdown. It's just a painful job of resolving all these tickets and manually un-managing these VM's. And after a few days when they get started back up we need to go through them again to enable the monitoring on them. It would be great if the monitoring would disable automatically when a VM
Temperature monitor - convert Celcius to Farenheit?
I'm monitoring temperatures from several device types of different brands. I'd like to show temperatures in Farenheit rather than Celcius. Is there an easy way to convert the values in the monitors to F? The formula prefix option when adding the monitor in the device template does not seem to work (CelciusToFahrenheit[.1.3.6.1.4.1.232.6.2.6.8.1.4]).

relatorio blank for memory and disk
Information memory and disk are not appearing in the report. Previously functioned normally started Seman this problem. Hi Guys, I have installed Opmanager and Probe, i am kidda new to these software/applications and i am mainly testing it all. My Problem is Why is their tow apps/softwares that displays the same kidda inteface one runs on port 8060 Opmanager and Other Probe on 8070 (this seems to have more options) I am confused as both seem same! I have two questions 1) When adding a device we need to add credentials right, i cant seem to find wmi the list, only i have snmp/ssh/telnet/clt/wmware but no wmi for windows

Trap Parser with Failure Component
Hi, I have a router with multiple interfaces and I want to process linkdown traps for these interfaces. The linkdown trap works fine and collects the information ifdes for notifications. My issue is that I want to have different notifications profiles for different interfaces ie interfaces 1-5 -- link down trap send sms interfaces 6-10 - link down trap send email only Since i am using the linkdown trap generator, I cannot differentiate. Hi, I am creating a custom Trap parser Link down configured similar to the default link down trap parser except I was putting a match criteria. The default link down is also activated at the same time. However, my custom trap parser never gets triggered, always the default link down. Hi, we need to connect various business views with shortcuts. Since the shortcuts are on both sides this create loops and once the status of a business view turns red, everything connected turns red too and never go back to green. That is even when all the devices turn back to green, since the status of the business view is feeding via proxy to itself. Hi, What must I do for being sure my HP servers is correctly monitored? And be sure about getting all traps about failing RAID, RAM modules and so on? Active Directory dashboards show N/A
I know this question has been asked before, but I have tried everything I have read and nothing seems to fix the issue. When I add in a DC, OpManager correctly identifies it as a DC and has all the correct templates associated with it. When you look at the snapshot for any DC the dashboard items show N/A. Adding a HyperV
HI, I have 3 Hyperv Server, but only 1 of them are detected as a HyperV Host & 2 other are detected as a server. i check WMI & SNMP & both of them are OK. I delete these 2 servers & add again but detect as a server again. I re discover it but nothing happen? How i can add these 2 HyperV servers? I install OpManager 11.3

Quick Configuration WIzard shows no devices assigned with profile
(First of all, it took me a minute to find where the "New topic" link was in the new forums. Not very intuitive placement.) My issue is that I tried to use the Quick Configuration Wizard to find which devices don't have a notification profile. I clicked "Manually group devices", and it showed ALL my devices on the left column (profile not assigned). However, I have that same exact profile assigned to most of those devices. Does anyone have a template to monitor Watchguard XTM505 firewall that they would like to share? I hear from Watchguard that default snmp monitoring should work for all the pertinent monitors but I am not too sure on how to configure it. My first attempts have not been that great. Widgets not working in new API
Hello I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with widgets in Version 11300. I have standard widgets that work when I go back to the original interface. But When I change it back to the new API there isnt any information or I just see %%. For example. If I add a widget for Notification Profiles Triggered in the last 24 hours nothing shows up in the new API. But If I change the theme and go back to the original the information shows.

Hello, How do I change the SQL monitors for all servers simulateously? I would expect a template for this, but cannot find any. For example: «active database connections» - remove monitor on all servers «Log files used percentage» - remove monitor on all servers «Excess total committed memory» - adjust threshold for all servers. Exchange 2010 Monitors
Hi All, I setup opmanager to monitor our exchange server, the following monitor Messages Received Per Second is reporting that we are consistently receiving 20000 messages per second, I have verified this is not the case with other programs (exmon and performance monitor). I wondered why OpManager is reporting such a figure and if there is perhaps a way to change it? FYI other exchange monitors seem accurate and in agreement with other utilities. thanks
OpManager deleteDevice API not working
Hi, I have been working with the OpManager REST API (http://help.opmanager.com/#rest_api), all the GET API's work as expected, however when I use as POST API, the deleteDevice API in particular, it doesn't seem to work. When I post the deleteDevice with the apiKey and the deviceName, I get the following response: {"result":{"message":"Device has been deleted successfully."}} However, the device doesn't actually get deleted. Could someone please advise on the procedure this API takes when deleting
Adding another drive monitor to a system already monitoring multiple drives?
I tried to add another drive monitor to the configuration for an existing Windows server that OpManager was already monitoring. I couldn't find any way to do this other than to remove all the existing monitors of the same type (in this case it was Partition Details of the Device (%)) and then re-add them again. This worked but I lost all the historical trending data for the previously existing monitors. Is there a better way to do this that will preserve the historical trending data that I somehow
Problem adding VMWare Host
By adding a VMWare Host, by Virtualization> Add VMWare Host tab, the message "Device already present in the system", but the host does not appear in the list of hosts vmware, and searching by name only appears a white screen with the message "Error". How should I proceed?

Hello All, I have added my DLink 3620 Switch as well as all required MIB file also. My problem is that OpManager didn't get Utilization data so I have changed device template and manually add custom CPU utilization monitor. Custom monitor get all data as its configuration but CPU utilization seems no data available. Please help me to short out.

The Fluidic Interface have some major issues
Hi, Trying to use the new UI (Fluidic Interface) and found that under "home" my "business view" is overlapping the "voumes with most disk usage" widget. How to correct it? Switches - port status differs between Trouble\Attention
I can understand quite how this works but we have a lot of switches we want to monitor. At the moment I have a Cisco Catalyst 2948G and a Cisco Catalyst 2950-48G. For some reason and it seems almost random, some ports come up as Trouble and some as Attention. When I acknowledge and clear the alarms the status goes to Clear and then once the refresh occurs the alert reappears.
