OpManager Build 11500 SNMP (and some WMI) based monitoring is unaccurate to say the least.
I installed that version as brand new installation few weeks ago, and added few systems just to see if I can recommend this app to my bosses. We added about 12 different servers and so far we see the following problems. SNMP Example 1: Disk Utilization above 100% (180-220) while WMI shows correct value of 37% Example2: 1GB Interface is detected as 100MB interface WMI Threshold of "Number of connections to Exchange server" is under 200, which is way to low. VCenter rediscovery
Hi all I'm wondering if there is a process or set of standard SQL scripts available that can essentially reset/remove all the VM metrics from Opmanager so that a VCenter rediscovery can occur. For instance, on a number of occasions a lot of our VM's have lost their metrics or turned orphan, same thing with the ESX hosts. Rediscovery of the VC seems to always fail with a "contact support". Notification Profiles :Run Program
I want Opmanager alert me with run jar file! I develop a jar file and test it on my system! it is OK! but it's not work when set in on Opmanager as alert! jar file path set on Opmanager alarm>Notification profile>Run Program>command Name! Unable to customize notification profile per device
I have always been able to change the notification profile settings from a device page. For example, when viewing a device, I click on Notifications, then click the edit button, and I can modify it and it saves for that device. However, now it takes me to the global profile settings. After I select the criteria, it takes me to "Select Devices" and lists all my devices. It should just modify the profile for that one device, rather than redirect to the global profile

IPAM mac-ip combination detected
Hi, i have actived "A Change in MAC-IP combination is detected" alert, and i received a very large amount of mac-ip combination detected, every 4 hour the system send me always the same mails. I think the ipam addi take the data from AD server and reverse all the data every time. I have found very old time ip-mac combination... is possible fix this issue? tanks! fulvio

I've just installed OpManager successfully on Ubuntu. I started it by SSHing into my server and executing ./StartOpmanagerServer.sh, however when I exit out of my SSH session OpManager stops. Is there a way around this?

Opmanager VMWare OVA install. No webpage?
Hi, Very new to this product, but was looking to eval for a few customers. I have downloaded the free ova tool of Opmanager, watched the install which went fine. Logged into the Suse desktop, which also seems ok. However when I try an connect to the ip of the server on port http://10.0.0.47:8060/ I get nothing? IP without a port give me access denied, so it seem the webserver is running? Have I missed something? as I found the instructions very hard to find for this OVA Regards Paul.

NetApp not showing disk info
Hi there, we are trying to monitor a few NetApp Devices in our company.. unfortunately we can't see any disk or LUN info after adding the devices. Trigger action on number of processes alarm
You can trigger set actions on service monitor, but not seeing them on process monitors. Is there a way to trigger an action (cmd) based on the number of processes? We are fighting an issue with php-cgi.exe on our IIS box. We are trying to narrow down the faulty code or other issues, but it spawns only about once per day and we have yet to isolate. In the meanwhile, IIS becomes unresponsive when the number of php-cgi's start going wild and restarting IIS or recycling the specific sites application
Unable to add domain in user management
We just purchased this software and when trying to add a domain under user management it says Domain already added. I don't have any domains listed. Please advise.
Put on maintenance after actual time
Hello, There should be a way to put a device(s) under maintenance, after the maintenance actually happens. There are cases when technicians are missing to unmanage the device(s), or create a downtime through the Downtime Scheduler. Some authorized admins should be able to create the maintenance afterwards, which would affect past records. At the moment, the down time is not adjusted if you create this downtime scheduler after the downtime actually happens. Anyway it is doable currently? Regards

Unable to See Google Maps in Internet Explorer
Hello! Since today, we can't see Google maps anymore on Opmanager with Internet Explorer 11. We tried with Google Chrome and it works ok. We tried from different PC with Internet Explorer 11 and it doesn't show anymore. I think we need to have flash installed. When we enter to https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html, the animation shows ok and it recognized that Flash is installed. Can you help us? Opmanager Build: 114000 Thanks! Damien
How to set the correct date and time ...
I have looked through the forums and found multiple fixes for a windows issue with service desk. However I am running OPManager ovf with suse. I have changed the date and time on the guest, and after about a minute it changes back. I do not see anywhere in the OPManager web interface to chage / correct the date and time. It is about 8 hours ahead of my time zone and reports generally show the the next day not the present day. Is there a simple fix for this as I have seen issue with service desk dating

Change defaut Dashboard in API client
After some searching I figured out how to change the Default dashboard in the Old UI but can't find any information on how to do it for the API Client. At the moment on login I am getting one of our own Custom dashboards and there doesn't seem to be any way to change that as far as I can tell. Is there any way to do this?
Opmanager User Manager: Add domain
On the Central, have successfully added a domain, however a second domain can't be added and no error is given. On the Probe, we can't even add a single domain. Once again, no error is given. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers

some question about Syslog in OpManager
Hi there, I'm trying to set up a new syslog rule but having some problem understanding how it works. under Admin > Syslog Rules ... what is the Facility Name field? still in the rule page, it only says to raise an alarm, but how about sending an email notification? Thank you for your advice.
Adding vCenter 5.1 to OpManager
I have upgraded to v10 of OpManager and watched the video showing how to add vCenter to OpManager. I have also created a credential specifically for vCenter that has administrative rights. When I try to discover the vCenter server using the credentials I get the error "Failed to connect the VMware Host WebService(Device may not be reachable/Credentials may be wrong)" We have not been able to find anything on ME's website that say they support v5.1. Any thoughts?

Extreme switches: EAPS info and custom dials
Hello! I have a few questions concerning Extreme switches that are in EAPS ring. First questions is it possible to make a table or dial to a device snapshot that includes info from the mib? (attachment: eaps_info) That way it would be easier to get EAPS information from the switch just by looking at device snapshot. Are Avaya devices supported in the current build for OpManager
We have a client which is trying to monitor their Avaya Devices but the device templates or the vendor for Avaya Devices is not listed in the application. We also tried to apply the proper MIBs to be able to discover these Avaya devices but we are unable to upload them properly. Are Avaya devices supported in the current version of OPManager 11400? SNMP v2/v3 can't work on ipv6 address
OpManager version: 11.4 (11400) do snmpv2/v3 to monitor Switch Device via ipv6 address. but when we use wireshark check OpManager to Swith, we found OpManager via ipv6 address environment, it's snmp can't sent get-request to Switch device (add device, or find network). When we change from ipv6 enviroment to ipv4, snmpv2/v3 will work normally.

Hello, I am trying to get some specific information from an SRX3400 for the purposes of graphing. Primarily I want to graph the amount of flows. What I would like to graph is valid session, invalid session and sessions in use. I have OIDs for some of these.
