OpManager Reports at a Glance Missing
OpManager 11 doesn't appear to have the "Reports at a Glance" when going into a device. Is there a way to get this back? Regards -Gary
OpManager, well so far not so FLUID experience
I never used buggier application in my life than OpManager. Amount of stuff that doesn't work is just ridiculous. Idea that whenever something doesn't work "just switch to old UI and fix it there" is nonsense. You want to review your server monitors? "It's easy, just click on Monitor tab!" well it doesn't work, blank screen. You want to remove monitor? "Just click on Remove button!" Well .... that bloody button doesn't exist, ohh yeah sorry ... it's in "old UI". "Your service is down", said OpManager.
Device Notes Fields Order
Is there any way to set the order of the Notes fields. It seems to be ordered very random. Doesn't even follow the list in admin or the order they were added to OpManager.
OpManager Essential Edition
Please guide me to Manage Engine OPManager Technical Documentation page. Thanks in advance
Cradlepoint Routers
Has anyone setup monitoring on Cradlepoint Routers and been able to gather statistics such as processor time, temperatures, and such? Do we know if Cradlepoint will be added as a vendor?

Cisco 3650 MIB for Custom Template

Key based credentials
I need to monitor a server which does not allow for native login instead they create a key based authntication. Can I ad the private key to op manager to enable monitoring this linux machine? If so how?
Auto detect "type" of Fortigate

Cisco Nexus 5596 Operational Status

WMI credentials encryption
Hello Can anyone tell me whether the credentials entered for Windows/WMI in OpManager 9 are stored and sent to the remote devices in a secure encrypted fashion? Thanks
Pulling Description from one OID and Values from the other.
I have a Cisco 4500 Switch that has multiple module cards in it. We are trying to monitory the temperature on each of them. Using CISCO-ENVMON-MIB and OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3 (ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue) we get the values returned fine. However the descriptions don't come through. So we get the instance ID rather than the NAME of the module. Is there a way to join .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.2(ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusDescr) and the .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3 (ciscoEnvMonTemperatureStatusValue)
Interfaces not staying on device
A while ago we re-installed our opmanager server on new hardware using the latest version to get a fresh start and clean databases. Since then I have 2 devices on my network with this same issue. Both are Sonicwall Firewall's model NSA 3500 (pre Dell). Both show no interfaces. I click discover interfaces and all the interfaces are correctly discovered. I tick the ones to add and click the save button, it reports 'interfaces added successfully' and it goes back to reporting "no interfaces are there
Inconsistencies between old and new UI?
Hi there, While troubleshooting high utilization of one of our switches, I just realized that I can't find certain info on new UI. In the old UI: go to a switch detail view click on Interfaces tab click on an interface (preferably the problematic one) no the left-pane, under Interface Details tab, click on the link for Utilization it will show you a quick info on in/out % as max, min, avg, and 95th Percentile along with its recorded reading time In the new UI: go to a switch detail view click on

Can someone please redirect me for clearing the below SNMP trap notification which is sent by WebLogic and recieved by OpUtils "SNMP Receiver" wls .1.3.6.1.4.1.140.625 10.100.x.xx 0 hours, 29 minutes, 27 seconds.
Hyper-V Replica monitoring
Can OpManager monitor the health of Hyper-V's "Replica" feature that was introduced in Server 2012 (and now R2)? That is, on a per-VM basis can we set up OpManager to send an alert if the Replica status goes from "Normal" to "Critical", for instance?
separate log folder
Hi there, OpManager build 11500 Is it possible to direct the log file to a different path? Perhaps another disk? We got our C:\ with only 500MB free space. Thank you.
Validate Device unmanage
It is possible to create an action for device validation that are as unmanage and send an e-mail. Run every X time. Thanks
overview of switch interface utilization
Hi there, OpManager build 11500 For the past few weeks, we've been having this report of a particular switch port goes above the configured utilization threshold. Problem is, we're having a hard time finding out where does the traffic went from/to. So my question is, is there (an easy) way to find this out? I'm thinking of a graphic showing a bar (% in/out utilization) for each port at a particular time. Really appreciate your advice on this!
Schedule Downtime for a Monitor and not a Device
We have set up a file monitor for a file that is being updated by a scheduled task. The scheduled task is on a server that needs to be monitored 7 days a week. The scheduled task however runs only Monday through Friday. I am hoping there is a way to place downtime on the monitor itself apart from the server. We could associate the monitor to a device that is not monitored on Saturday and Sunday but I would prefer not to do go that route. In short, is there a way to set up a monitor so that is
Contacting Customer Care?
How do I contact Customer Care ( not support ). We have constant problems with out OPM system, whilst they do tend to get fixed it can take ages ( I have had a call fixed yesterday after 2 1/2 months ) but that has now broken a Kludge to fix SMS delivery. It seems like the software is not being well tested before release and we are doing the testing live! Can Customer Care contact me on this. Thanks Robin
Questions surrounding new UI in OpManager
Hi, A couple of questions surrounding the new UI in OpManager: - How do you assign device dependencies (both individual devices and multiple devices) in the new UI? I can't see an option to do this. - In the older version of OpManager we were able to singularly add ESXi hosts, and then from there, choose the VM's that we want OpManager to manage (we have the auto-vm discovery turned off). It looks like there is no option to do that anymore since having to add the vCenter to manage everything. If
vCenter no data
Discovery found them all as individual machines however the Dashboard and VMWare tab show nothing.
Monitor script not working on UTM/Linux system
Hi guys, I have several UTMs that are linux based, and I got a bunch of scripts that need to be run on those. Thus, I wrote a simple one, tested on a Debian (worked) via ssh/putty and via OpManager, but when testing on the UTM it worked via ssh using putty , but via OpManager it didn't. Note: on both I got the password/credentials test working. Note2: I takes aprox. 20 seconds to return the error (However it is not by timeout): Exit Code 4 Message Script_teste:Internal Server Error while processing
Dashboard not showing information
Added my vCenter and ran discovery found all hosts and VM's I can see them in the inventory tab but nothing is showing on the dashboard or vMware Tab.
User Credentials localhost OpManager
Hi all, I'm trying to monitor the server where OpManager is installed, but i've some problems. When select 'Test Credentials' shows that result 'passed', then click 'Ok'. When i back to the local server, OpManager dont collect the data. Anyone can help me? Thanks,
Installation Issue V11.5
OS = Server 2012 Std I had been running Version 9.1 of Opmanager since its release without issue, it had been incredibly trouble free. I have uninstalled OPMgr 9.x to begin with a clean installation and fresh DB (following an entire tech refresh). When I try to install OPmanager V11500 64bit I get an InstallShield error "An error (-5001 : 0x80070002) has occurred while running setup" "Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. Interfaces in virtualize OPM enterprise model
I have build an OPM enterprise system on VMWare (all devices in this model are virtualized by GNS3 and VMWare ). In OPM (both Central and Probe), when I select tab Network -> All Interfaces, I cant see any interface in my model (It shown "No record to views"). Is this normal? If I build an OPM model in real system (not virtualize), can it monitor all my system's interfaces?

Using the Opmanager API
I've been trying to use CURL to access the Opmanager API to put devices into an unmanaged state. The code I've been using is: curl -vv -X POST "http://its-opmp-001/api/json/device/setManaged?apiKey=<from Admin RestAPI page>&manage=false&name=its-log-001" To which I get the following response < HTTP/1.1 200 OK < Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 < Set-Cookie: JSESSIONID=E629D5D4BD5F7B55FFBCCBF30A11AE69; Path=/; HttpOnly < Content-Type: application/json;charset=UTF-8 < Transfer-Encoding: chunked < Vary: Accept-Encoding

User Configuration
I have a couple questions about Connecting OpManager Through AD. I have set up my Windows Domain and I have set up the Pass-through authentication. I'm able to log in with my domain credentials after I add it as an AD User. My question is I thought the check box for "Enable Auto Login" would allow the groups I designated to log in with the access it was assigned in. This doesn't seem to work, the only users that can log in are the ones I set up as users in the system. The other question I have

Deploying OpManager
Hi guys, We are interested to deploy OpManager in our company for our Datacenter to monitor Servers, Domain Controller, Mail Server, WiFi Access Point, Routers, switches, firewall, VMware host etc. I Want to know what level of monitoring OpManager provides, e.g. for switches: does it provide port to port monitoring, and likewise other Network connecting devices? Please share some documents to study and would be great if somebody share their own stories. (success or unsuccessful). Thanks in advance...
