Question regarding Notification Profiles
Hi I want to notify one person inside working hours and another person outside working hours and in weekends. I can do that, but it takes 4 notification profiles as I see it. One from 00 to 07:59 on workdays, one from 08:00 to 15:59 on workdays, one from 16:00 to 23:59 on workdays and one for the weekend. My question is: Is there any other more simple way to do this? :-) I'm on Opmanager build 11600 Best Regards Claus

Widgets or reports for Vmware datastore with most usage
Hello. I use the widget and report for "Volumes with most disk usage" frequently, and I would like to have a similar report for Vmware datastores. I know that I can go to each vcenter server and look at them there, but no widgets exist, and it would be handy to see free or used space in percentages. Is this available? I am running the latest service pack for Opmanager 11.6.
Unknown type for discovered VMs
Hi - when I add a vCenter virtual appliance to perform an automated VM monitoring, the VMs are correctly added to OpManager - but the discovered VMs are of type "Unknown". I have created a set of templates that via SNMP that correctly recognize each host (tested with the VMs IPs) and monitor a different subset of metrics, but I can't find a way to automatically associate the SNMP credentials to the automatically discovered VMs. The only workaround I found so far is manually re-discover the VMs adding

Unable to Register Probe to Central Server v12.1
I cannot seem to get a probe registered back to the central server. I have tried installing the probe in both 64 & 32 bit mode with the same error that: Probe Registration Failed. Issue command after SSH login
Hello, I'm new to OpManager and trying to get the hang of it for my company. But I ran into one problem: I need to issue a command after a ssh connection is established, but I'm not able to find any option for this. OpManager side frame reports "Network not reachable"

Where to set the variable ${filename} required to use a script in OpManager
Hi all, I need to manipulate some OIDs and hence I'm preparing a script in powershell. I correctly expressed the executable path and name in the way PATH\${filename}.ps1 but when I test it OpManagers complains that PATH\OpManager_903_1463997551056.ps1does not exist. Moreover that string changes everytime and my understanding its value is derived on-the-fly because the variable ${filename} is not initialized. I thought filename would be taken from the name of the script. So my question is: how can
August 2016 Update Rollup KB3179574 jumps java CPU usage
Applied KB3179574 on 8/17 to the OPManager server. CPU usage increased dramatically for java.exe afterwards. See chart below. This condition survives a reboot. CPU seems to now run at about an average of 28%. The chart clearly shows that the normal CPU usage was about 3% prior to KB3179574 being applied.

File Monitor Does Not Create Alamrs
Hello, I would like to setup OpManager to monitor several backup file logs by using the file monitors. I would like for them to notify us when a backup log indicates that it has detected an error, or a warning. I believe I will need at minimum - two file monitors per system to complete this. While this seems very straight forward and simple - I have not been able to complete this today and its been driving me crazy. The backup files when generated are .xml files. I'm not sure if the "File monitor"
Not all VMs being monitored
I have a new install of VM Manager Plus. It discovered the vcenter server and everything seems to be working except not all of the VMs are being monitored. In the vcenter section my server says that there are 18 total VMs and 8 monitored VMs. Most of the missing VMs are powered on and listed in the virtual machine list under the vcenter server but there is no status on them and I can't select them. Also they don't show up in the dashboard summary. How do I get all of the VMs to be monitored? Thanks.

We just installed SP11400 and now all the icons and graphs for network bandwidth are all working and the API client seems polished. So thank you for that! The main reason we use OpManager is that we have a monitor that we have mounted on a wall to display a dashboard of our critical systems for the executives to walk up and see the system/network status. Disk Write Latency counters
Hi. I have Hyper-V servers and I use FC to connect storage (i have 3 CSV luns ). When I started monitoring Hyper-V in Opmanager i received many alarms: Disk Write Latency is 4762 Disk Write Latency (Millisecond), threshold value for this monitor is 50 Disk Write Latency (Millisecond). Can you explain me, how i can investigate which object generate high Disk Write Latency ???

Opmanager 12.1 discovery doesn't let me see the progress and choose which device import
Hi, with OpManager 11, I was able to see the discovery process and understand what didn't work and when it finished. Most of all I was able to choose which device import and which not. With OpManager 12.1, the discovery is completely out of control: I cannot know when it finish and I cannot choose which device I would like to add or not. The software add ALL the ICMP reacheable devices no matter if they are simple PCs or switches. Am I doing something wrong? Is that a bug or simply this release is

Inconsistent device naming
Hello, I noticed some devices are displayed with FQDN and some are not. I confirmed it's not DNS issue because under Device Details > DNS name I can see the device's FQDN. What could be the cause and will it create duplicate records if I update the "DeviceName" field using bulk import for those displayed without FQDN?

Move to new Server and change DB
Hi We Need to move OPManager to a new Server. The old Server was W2K3 32Bit, the new Server is W2K12 R2 64Bit. On the old Server I Upgraded OPManager to v.11 (11600). Then I made a backup of the database (the db on the old Server is mysql) > backupdb.bat -mode all -targetdb pgsql On the new Server I installed OPManager v.11 (11600, with pgsql) and run the restoredb.bat with the backup made on the old Server. The restore starts and ends with a few errors. I try to attach the debug from the restore.

Inventory report
How do I produce a report that shows the devices being monitored and include all the alerting parameters e.g disk levels, cpu, memory, but also include the polling intervals, repeats and the notification profiles. It will be a big report, but the idea is to have a way of checking the setup without having to run through 1000's of browser pages. Either a report or a bit of sql would be ideal.

I am trying to add a custom monitor for querying our Check Point VSX firewalls. I already have devices added via SNMPv3 and getting interface statistics, however, I am looking for more specific Check Point data. Start OpManager as a service on WIndows
I'm trying to start opmanager as a service on Windows 2008. I've ran the script .\bin\OpManagerService.bat -i to install the windows service. It creates a windows services, which is good I guess, but when I try to start the service I get an error in the logfile .\logs\wrapper.log. Here's what's in the log. Opmanager unresponsive, can't even shut down
I have an opmanager server running and I have 32GB of RAM in it. I reconfigured the wrapper.conf to use basically 28GB of that. But I get the following in the stderr logs 09:17:28:394 AM SysLogScheduler Pending tasks count exceeds 10000 09:17:28:394 AM SysLog Threads are busy:::::::::::::::::::: Then I have to hard shutdown and restart the services after a couple of days. How can I optimize this to stop this from coming up?
