vCenter virtual Appliance ESXi 5.5 and 6.0 with OpManager 12.1
Hi, I've run into a bit of a block adding vCentre appliances to OpManager 12.1 - I can add the vCentre without issue but it does not automatically add the Esx hosts. If I then added the Esxi hosts manually an errors is given briefly that the discover is unable to connect to the vCentre web service and there appears to be no link back to the vCentre. Further (obviously related) I am unable to fetch any of the performance monitors for the Esxi hosts. We also have a Windows vCentre with Esxi 5.5

User monitoring
Hello Yesterday we used the link to AD in ops manager and it successfully brought through 'all' the users from AD. This has now been running a good 12 hours. When we go into ops manager, select a user, the details of the user are displayed but not a lot else, i.e. no bandwidth usage, sites accessed etc. How do we get this information to show in ops manager? A few of the machines that users log into are virtual ones that do show in ops manager but again when you select the user no information is shown.
Possibility to tag devices when adding them
Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to "tag" a switch with a custom variable? For instance, when we're adding network devices, we'd like to tag some of them as "Core" and some with "Access". Then, we'd like those with the "Core"-tag to do an interface discovery on, and detect operational status, bandwidth and errors. Using the CIDR/IP discovery, it gets applied to everything, and we do not want to get alarms when an access switch has issues. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Anton
OpManager 12 CCTV Views
It seems the CCTV views have gone backwards in functionality. Sure they look nicer, but I can no longer control where the widgets are, and it automatically reduces selects the number of widgets depending on the size of the screen. OpManager 11 As you can see, I've created 4 columns and the stats all show on the screen. OpManager 12 As you can see now, it's created a 3x2 table and gone across 2 pages. Clear notification alert question
Hi All, I would like to receive cleared notification email after issue has been fix. I know from notification profile we can select "notify when the alarm is cleared" option. But in this case I'm also getting cleared email notifications each time rearm has taken place or after 2nd poll when device's threshold is back to normal. In my case I received cleared email without prior receiving the attention or trouble notification. Is there a way to achieve this?
Incorrect monitor readings for partition
Hi Support, I have few devices with strange issue encountered with OPM v11600 and latest patch. Partition Details of the Device (%)-D:\ Label:Data Serial Number ba436437 is showing 317% where maximum value should be 100% I have tried update status and rediscover device. So far still the monitor for this partition is the same. Below is from My Computer Any suggestion on how to fix this? currently it's giving false alarms.

I've found instructions for how to add custom reporting time windows but it seems to only apply to older versions of OpManager. Are there any up to date instructions how to add custom time windows to my reports for OpManager 12.1?

How to monitor standalone ESXi?
Hi Support, I'm having trouble getting monitors data from standalone ESXi. Both SNMP and VMware credentials were accepted but each time I performed rediscovery, the device is detected as unknown. CIFS shares in workflow
Hi, in our company we are using a storage system. The files are mounted for the users as network drives using CIFS shares. I'd like to know if anybody has an example on how to use these shares in OpManager workflows? E.g. how to use the "delete older files" workflow function? I've tried UNC paths, persistent mapped network drives on the OpManager (v12.1) server and pretty much all other things I could think of. I'd appreciate anybody chiming in on this issue! TIA GWeiss
Another issue in 12.1 Notifications
We have another issue with OpManager 12.1 Notifications. 12.1 we are trying to create a new Email notification. It is not allowing us to use { or } in the "To Email Address" Example.....{DBATEAM}@company.com. It says invalid email ID. 11.6 allows for those special characters. So currently I have 13 groups that I cannot create Email alerts for. Is this a bug or by design?

Unable to install OpUtils/ / Unable to download IPAM/SPM plugin
Hey guys, we have a server with OpManager 11.6 installed (Upgrade pack for 12 isn't available yet..) and I wanted to try the IPAM and SPM plugin, but the only download I can find when I click on the Download button is OpManager. Hello, I'm having some issues with scheduled reports not working. I want to have a scheduled report setup so I can see down devices in the last 24 hours. I can see there is a report template already setup for this and I can see the data I want in it. I can manually email the report by clicking the PDF button and it successfully sends. What I want to do is have this automated so it emails a report to a distribution group daily. I understand how to set this up but its not working. I setup a test schedule

Alarm stays acknowledged
Hi Is it normal that once an alarm is acknowledged it stays acknowledged even if it has been cleared in between? A week ago a windows service was down and generated an alarm. I acknowledged the alarm and restarted the windows service again and the alarm has been cleared shortly after. Now after about one week the windows service is down again but the new alarm is still acknowledged by me. I did not know that the windows service was down again and our support team assumed that I was working on it.
Alarms appear very slow
I set PING to several IP address, Alarms come very slow after the device is down, usually 20 minutes. Please help me to change this. Tks

Custom Template will not poll
Hi, I have a new build of 12.1 that I am having issues with polling for a custom template. Initially I installed OM with the PostgreSQL database but then opted to uninstall and reinstall on the same server with MS SQL Express. I created a custom template for a device which queries without problem when testing the monitors. However, the device never actually gets polled. I search through the forum and found a few things to try but it still isn't working. I would appreciate some guidance on possible
