Opmanager - NFA plugin vs full NFA product
Hi We use Opmanager extensively and also have an instance of full NFA product which works well. I'm interested in the idea of collapsing into one product, for ease of use. Are there any functional differences between the Netflow plugin for Opmanager, versus the full NFA product? Does anybody have any experience in moving from full NFA to OPmanager plugin? Is pricing affected? ie. Interface licensing more expensive or cheaper in Opmanager? Thanks. David

Muting Alarms on a device does not mute instance alarms as well (SQL/Services/etc.)
Have an odd question: If I mute an alarm on a device, why does it not also mute the device's services and applications? For instance, I have a SQL server, I muted the alarms because the server needs to be profiled to correct errant alarms, however, it still alarms for the MSSQL service and services that are Down on the system (MSSearch in this case) Why does muting the alarms not apply to the entire system? This kind of makes muting the alarms pointless.
WAN RTT Path Hop Details
Hi, I using OpManager build 12200. I have noticed in a tutorial video that one can view the path hop details of a WAN RTT monitor by clicking one of the bars in the bar graph of the path round trip time history. The tutorial is based on previous version version of OpManager and the feature seems not to be available in the current version. Is this the case or is there some configuration I am missing?

Hi, I would like to monitor checkpoint firewalls particularly model 290. Unfortunately, there are no MIB included inside the device template for me to add the performance monitors. How can I go about getting this added ? MIB file as per attached.
GUI is reachable from "localhost" only
Hello, we just installed OpManager but we found out that the GUI is reachable from localhost only. It looks that it is binded on 0.0.0.0:80 but looking at the tcpdump, if you try to connect from another machine to the GUI, it receives packet but does not respond anyway. Ho can I tell to OpManager to accept connection from other IP too? Thank You Regards M.

opmanger used maps.googleapis.com, but I locate in China . so when i open opmanger, It's so slower. and it try to open maps.googleapis.com, but you know it can'nt open maps.googleapis.com. so , how do i ? Thanks !

Monitor IBM V5020 \ V7000
Hi Running version 12200 of opmanager. I'm trying to monitor the performance of an IBM V5020 and V7000 - How do I go about doing this? I've downloaded the MIB's file and copied it into the mibs folder. I've setup the v7000 smnp to point to the server with the snmp password but struggling to get the 2 to talk. Thanks Andy

Hi I have turned on partition details monitoring in one of our servers and the monitor picked up all the partitions on the server. The server has got like 100+ partitions and I cannot see any options to remove them on bulk like what we used to have on the old interface of Opmanager. How do i go about removing the unwanted partitions in bulk ? Do advise.

Hi, I have an incident with an user and this user who is using the Api Client, but in Alarms I could see alarms from other customer that this user shouldn't see. In this case the user shouldn´t see nothing about FAWMSARC. In fact, the name of "Fuente" should be FAMACRO07 not MN-CPLLT-16.
Migrate OpManager from Postgres to MSSQL
I am trying to migrate from Postgres to SQL server. I followed these steps. 1. run BackupDB.bat 2. Stop Opmanger Service 3. run DBConfiguration.bat (the database_params.conf does not get updated it still points to Postgres) 4. run Restoredb.bat The DBConfiguration.bat does create a new database on the remote server. But when I run the RestoreDB.bat I get an error message of "Invalid License file". If I click OK the restore goes back to Postgres.

Monitoring VMware ESXi hardware using Opmanager v12
Hello, I'm using Opmanager 12200 and trying to figure which settings on ESXi that I need to enabled in order for Opmanager to monitor the host's hardware. So far I've applied SNMP community name and destination on the ESXi's snmp.xml file. And rediscovered the host using SNMP and Vmware credential. But the hardware readings are still not available. Does anyone know? Currently the hosts are standalone without vCenter.

Opmanager 12 - Unable to switch monitoring back on for some ESX hosts.
We have noticed that some ESX servers are not being monitored, a rediscovery of vCenter does not seem to make any difference. IP Management - Subnet usage reading 100 percent for all subnets

Monitor ESX server in Opmanager v12.2
I have successfully discovered Vcenter server in Opmanager v12.2 with Vcenter credential, and I could see DataCenter/Cluster/Hosts/VirtualMachines in Inventory/Vcenter page, which is really impressed. Just one problem, I cannot access to ESX server and monitor them and get performance value. Please check the figure below, Comparing with Demo.opmanager.com, vCenter has discovered and ESX hosts can be monitored and shows status clear (as figure below). Did I lost something?

Hello is there a guide to adding custom mibs for Ibm flex chassis adding them to Op manager 12.2? I need a bit of help getting it working , it works and polls in the mib browser but that is as far as I am getting, it doesn't work when I try to get it inside Op Manager. Oputils 8 performance issues
We are having major issues attempting to move to Server 2012 and Oputils 8 , SPM is extremely slow at scanning and will eventually just stop scanning. Anyone else attempted Server 2012?
