Import "Device notes" by xls/csv file
I would like to update all my device notes information, but we do have over 500 devices that it is not effective to input them one by one. Is there any way to import those information to all devices in one shot, e.g. by a xls files? FYI, I am using OPM build 9410.
Set Default Dashboard
According to the User Guide (page 132) I am to: 1. Mouse-over Dashboards tab and select the Dashboard which you want to set as the default dashboard. 2. Couldn't get memory utilization for AIX Server.
Dear All, I have installed recent OPM version in Linux device. AIX Server version: 5300-10-01-0921 I have manage the performance of AIX server using SNMP protocol. I can't use the CLI because of security problem. Using mib browser tool, I have tested the CPU/MEM/Disk Utilization. CPU Utilization: hrProcessorLoad.1:-->0 hrProcessorLoad.2:-->0 hrProcessorLoad.3:-->1 hrProcessorLoad.4:-->0 Memory Utilization: Request failed or timed out. No error Disk Utilization: hrStorageUsed.1:-->199207 hrStorageUsed.2:-->632246
Switch Port Manager -> IF Speed and Vlan ID WRONG VALUES.
I use OpUtils v.6.0. I am testing this tool, but i have a problem with switch port manager. When i go to a switch the column Vlan ID and IF Speed have wrong values for many interfaces. My switches are Huawei and snmp is configured for all versions. OpUtils is installed on CentOS 6.3 and have the last built no. 60048 for OpUtils please let me know anything, Regards, Miguel Esnard
Backplane Utilization cannot be monitored on Cisco 2950
Back plane utilization on Cisco 2950 and 2960 switches need to be monitored and initially Backplane utilization of both models cannot be monitored. After upload CISCO-STACK-MIB, only Cisco 2960 can be monitored the Backplane utilization and still Cisco 2950 cannot be monitored. Please help.
Feature - Improvement Request, Notification "clear" change
Currently If a notification profile includes the "clear" notification, that profile subscribes to "all clear" notifications. I would like, this to be changed, to only subscribe to clear notifications, for conditions the profile is subscribed to in the first place. For instance for our SQL DBA's I do not notify them for problems with any interface, but they receive the clear notifcations for interfaces, which just results in us getting questions for issues which really they don't want to be bothered
Hyper V automatic guest detection disable
Hi, At the moment when I add a VMware host I have the ability to turn off autodiscover for the guest machines on it. I would like to do the same with Hyper V servers but I don't have the option. This means although I only want to manage the HOST it picks up guest servers hosted on it and fills up my licenses. Can this be done? Kind regards Eugene
WMI Polling - Authentication Question
We are currently in the beginning stages of configuring OpManager, and have hit a bit of a snag. Per the KB on the issue, for WMI to correctly work, -administrative- access is required to the domain controller. My employer does not allow administrative access to the domain controller, so that puts us in a bind. Does anyone have a work around for this?
At a glance reports not showing WMI stats
Hello All, Hope this is not a question that's been asked over and over... but here goes: If I set up a new server to be monitored and add a load of WMI monitors this all works and the status screen looks good and shows data. When I run the At a glance reports, no data shows??? Does the data have to come from SNMP monitoring or is there a way to get it to show data from WMI instead? Thanks in advance..
Netflow add-on into OPM
I am using the following version of OPM and NFA: OPM Essential 9410 NFA 9 Professional 9700 I try to integrate NFA into OPM so that I can check the traffic in one screen. I have successfully config the Add-on as attachment 1 But when I try to check the ports traffic on OPM, it ask me to login again in NFA as attachment 2 I try to login but fail, it just keep on ask me to login again. Can anyone help me on this case? FYI, the credentials sure can login to NFA.

Because We use other infrastructure view to place server and other devices. default infrastructure view such as Servers, Routers,Switches and Desktops no contain any device. But them can't be deleted. We really didn't want to see them in infrastructure snapshot. Any guys know how to hide them?
How to move opmanager from one server to another?

SMS Test Message Looping

Virtual Device - "Interface Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface-Tunnel" where can I modify threshold?
the virtual device template seems to have included some pre-configured thresholds. We keep getting threshold alarms for the "Interface Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface-Tunnel". I just want to shut off any threshold monitors for this interface whatsoever. However I can't see where this is configured, or where I can modify the alerts for it. I don't want to disable all network monitoring I just want to drop this interface out of the watch list.
"Top 3 Processes" incorrect
We regularly receive alarms from OpManager for memory and processor performance monitors where the "Top 3 Processes" information is wildly innaccurate. For example, just now one of our servers was sitting at 98% memory utilisation of its 8GB physical memory. 6GB was in use by a single application process. OpManager correctly reported the 98% figure, but didn't list the process consuming the 6GB in the "top 3". The top 3 consisted of processes using less than 1% of the total memory consumption.

Is there a way to automate supressing alarms via the rest api or in workflows?
We perform deployments on our 12 production servers 1 or 2 times a week. More often in our QA and development servers. Most of the deployment process is automated with linux bash scripts. We would like to include suppressing and re-enabling the alarms either in our scripts, or in a work flow. We would prefer to only supress the relevant monitors, but suppressing all alarms for a device or a business view would be OK. Thanks!
Manage Defaul Domain Controller WMI monitors for multiple DC's
Hi, I monitor multiple domain controllers maintaining our domain. Each time I have to update a value specific to Domain Controllers such as Active Client LDAP sessions I have to do it per Domain Controller. Is there a way to apply this to all my domain controllers per Opmanager server? Thanks

Icon Background Color
We have recently upgraded from version 9011 to 9410. Since upgrading we have noticed that the background colors (green, yellow, and red) are now pastel and not as "bold" as previous versions on dashboards. We have several color blind people who are having a very difficult time telling the difference between colors. Does anyone know what "image" or setting can be modified to create "bolder" colors?

question about running "Script Monitoring" - Monitored Machine
Dears, I would like to know if i want to run a script monitor on a remote machine (Monitored machine, i guess) .. do i need set CLI access to that specifiec host in opmanager ? can you please explain a little about how can i setup a script monitoring on a remote host ? explanations in help card is not very clear, for example i assume i set a CLI access for that host, and finish my script code, then i choose execute from "monitored machine", what should i set for execute directory then ? the ${TempDir}
Can't draw a network map!
When I try to draw the network map, I get the error "No switch links found for this device. Please select different seed device" - I've tried all my Layer2 and Layer 3 switches, and get the same result. Do I need to do some extra configuration in OpManger or on the switches? They're all discovered, and the SNMP monitoring works.
