[DidYouKnow-34] Easy Resource Management

ServiceDesk Plus allows creating multiple tasks under a single request and this can be assigned to different technicians. Every day, as an admin, you are supposed to manage all these tasks. Most of the requests may contain more number of tasks and it becomes tedious to manage all these tasks in one go. 

So here comes the Resource Management feature to help manage your daily tasks more conveniently. 



Imagine your technician is on sick leave today and you need to reassign some important tasks. Going to each request and checking the task and then reassigning to another technician will be a tedious job.


Have you ever thought that you can manage the tasks using a drag and drop function?
Check this out!

Go to Home tab -> Resource management, click to view all tasks. Find the tech name from the left side and see the list of tasks assigned to him for the day. Each bar is representing a task assigned to the respective technician.



Finding hard to identify the tasks? 
Filter the tasks based on day or month or time from the top panel.



Now you want to reassign? 

No need to open click open and modify. Just drag and drop the task to the other technician's space. You are done! Wow!

Still, want some modification? Need to change the scheduled time?
Just hover over your mouse to the beginning of the task. Drag to the point you need. Do the same for the task end as well. 



Not done, you can drag the complete task to a particular time frame, or to a day as per your filter selection. Play around and see how well you can manage the tasks more conveniently rather than regular editing.
