A user group is a holder for users that have common purposes. 
                                                

Creating and managing groups in the application shouldn't be taken lightly, as many essential features, such as publishing announcements, associating request templates and solutions can be done based on groups.

Having said that, here are our best practices for managing user groups,


1. Announcements:

Let's consider this scenario, the wireless network is down for a day due to maintenance in the sites Australia and New Zealand. 

This announcement is vital for users in the sites Australia and New Zealand only.  A user group is created such that the announcement is available only to the users associated to these sites.


2. Request templates:

It provides an option to associate templates to required users by associating them with user groups.


3. Solutions:

Solutions can be restricted to specific user groups by associating them. Thus, solution will be available to the user group on logging into the application.
